Government Agencies Launch National Reintegration Network for OFWs

Sixteen government agencies, led by the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW), formally signed a Joint Memorandum Circular (JMC) on Saturday to establish the National Reintegration Network (NRN) for Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs).

The ceremonial signing took place at the Occupational Safety and Health Center in Quezon City, coinciding with the 30th Migrant Workers’ Day celebration.

Key officials who signed the JMC include Trade and Industry Secretary Ma. Cristina A. Roque, Labor and Employment OIC Benjo Santos M. Benavidez, and OWWA Administrator Patricia Yvonne Caunan.

Also participating were representatives from various government bodies: the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Department of Agriculture (DA), Department of Science and Technology (DOST), Department of Tourism (DOT), Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), Social Security System (SSS), PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG Fund, SB Corporation, OFBank, National Cooperative Marketing Federation (NCMF), and PhilPharma.

This initiative aligns with President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.’s directive to strengthen inter-agency collaboration and enhance reintegration programs for returning OFWs.
